The St. Joseph Mustangs work collaboratively with colleges to offer internships to highly motivated and committed students who wish to build upon their college education with practical work experience in the fast-paced, results driven world of sports. Please note we begin filling the positions as soon as possible.

The internship program offers students opportunities for personal, technical and professional development and practical, “hands on” experience working under the guidance of the St. Joseph Mustangs front office staff. Students learn technical skills, knowledge and behaviors critical to successful performance on the job. We accept candidates from all major areas of study for internships.

Past interns have gone on to work for the Kansas City Royals, Houston Texans, Tulsa Drillers, Phoenix Suns, Philadelphia Phillies, and the Sprint Center-not to mention the many others that have ventured into other fields outside of sports, such as advertising, accounting, banking, public relations, and upper level management positions with reputable companies across the country.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • The ability to receive academic credit for the internship and thrive in a service industry environment.

  • Current enrollment in an accredited College or University.

  • The ability to work flexible hours during the work week and weekends, including all Mustangs home baseball games and other Mustang events from May 15- August 1st.
