2021 Mustangs’ Promotional Calendar Release
After a long year of waiting, the Mustangs are back in action June 2nd as they will kick off the season against the Des Moines Peak Prospects in Phil Welch Stadium.
Baseball and fireworks both return on June 2. Friends, family, and the community are all invited to come celebrate the return of Mustangs baseball on June 2nd with a postgame celebration of a spectacular firework show. Fans can expect to see four postgame firework shows this season, including; June 2nd, July 3rd, July 4th, and July 24th. Also returning in 2021 are the $1 Hot Dogs promotion, courtesy of Citizens Bank & Trust, for each Thursday home game, as well as the ever popular $1 beer night, featuring select Wil Fischer Distributing products.
Family friendly nights are scheduled throughout the season. Blippi Night is set for Thursday, June 10th. Enter your child age 12 and under to star in an educational baseball themed video series. The winner will receive a grand prize of $100 Mustangs bucks and 2022 Mustangs Season Tickets.
Don’t forget about your furry friends at home, Bark in the Park is returning to Phil Welch on Thursday, June 11th. Bring your four legged friend and enjoy some baseball alongside your best pal. All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations and remain on a collar and leash.
Saturday, July 17th will be our Bobblehead Giveaway Night, courtesy of St. Joseph CVB. The first 200 guests to enter Phil Welch will receive a bobblehead, so be quick!
The Mustangs will be featuring two free general admission nights. The Mustangs have two scheduled “We Love St. Joe” promotional nights this season, June 23rd and July 21st, where all guests will receive general admission tickets to the game.
“Just opening those front black iron gates to Phil Welch Stadium is going to be enough of a promotion for many people. We really can’t wait for that first “Take Me Out to the Ballgame,” the first pitch, the first hot dog sold, on June 2nd. But we’re celebrating all summer long. We are bringing back the same ballpark experience, and our focus remains on providing affordable family fun,” said Mustangs General Manager Ky Turner. Turner continued, “If you like baseball, we have that. If you’re looking for something to do on a Friday or Saturday evening, we’ve got that. If you want to take your kids out and do something fun, we have that. It’s going to be a great summer at Phil Welch Stadium.”
