A Mustang Masterpiece!

After a close game with the Carrol Merchants yesterday, your St Joe Mustangs hosted the Warren County Crop Dusters. The Crop Dusters have only lost once to the Nevada Griffons, putting them behind them in the two seed.

The Mustangs would go ballistic on the Crop Dusters today in a one-sided ball game you must read.

The Mustangs started an early offense as Jeter Mauzey singled to drive in Frank Gall.

Kyle Hepburn followed up with another single, scoring Carson Schrack.

Last night's player of the game, Darius Freeman, continues his streak of doubles that drive in Mauzey and Mason Holton.

Jordan Black's ground out to second scores Hepburn, and Freeman scores on a wild pitch, putting the Mustangs ahead by six runs.

Mustangs would tally more runs as Freeman scores on another wild pitch.

Gall's single started with Trevor McCollum scoring, but after an error by the Crop Duster's second baseman, Black scored from third, and Gall ended up at third base for a nine-to-nothing Mustangs lead.

The Mustangs would score more runs in the fifth, as Gall reached on a fielder's choice, leading Black to score.

Jackson Glueck scores on a wild pitch added to the Mustangs' runs, and Holtons' groundout, which scored Gall, put the Mustangs ahead in a twelve-to-nothing lead.

The Crop Dusters would try to negate the rally as they scored their first run in the sixth with a single that would drive in a run, making the score twelve to one.

The Mustangs wouldn't take this kindly, as two singles from Hepburn and Freeman led to Black reaching first, and Hepburn and Freeman scored.

Glueck's single and an error from the Crop Duster shortstop led to Black putting the score to fifteen to one.

After a bases-loaded situation in the seventh, Tanner Schmidt closed out the game.

The ten-run mercy rule ended the game in the top of the seventh, with the score fifteen to one, resulting in a Mustangs win.

The Mustangs will be home tomorrow for Northwest Night and Father-Daughter Date Night. They will host the Chillicothe Mudcats at 7 p.m.
