The St. Joseph Mustangs have announced the launch of the 2019-2020 Reading Program.

The St. Joseph Mustangs have announced the launch of the 2019-2020 Reading Program. The Reading Program is for elementary aged students, and features an assortment of prizes that students can earn, in exchange for reading ten grade level books. There is no cost for schools or individual classes to participate in the program.
This is the seventh year for the Reading Program in the current format. Last year, nearly 4,000 local students participated and were awarded prizes. The program also features a free school visit; last year, Mustangs staff visited nearly 20 local elementary schools. This years school visit will feature a superhero theme, encouraging students to make decisions that a superhero would make, and includes a number of fun, engaging activities. The school visits also include an appearance from Rally, the Mustangs mascot.
Prizes include a free ticket to Mustangs Opening Day 2020, as well as prizes at Belt Entertainment, Dave and Busters, Power Play, Sky Zone, and Chick-fil-A. Additionally, the class that reads the most at each school will be awarded a free pizza party, courtesy of Little Caesars Pizza. The student that reads the most overall will be awarded their choice of a free one day theme park ticket or a $100 Disney Gift Card, courtesy of Krystin Turner, with Dreams Unlimited Travel.
